The power plant, located in southern Tajikistan, has significantly improved the reliability and quality of local power supply; it is also a model project for power cooperation under the "Belt and Road" Initiative.

Following the success of the Siroch Bahrom project, Yawei Group was once again commissioned by the client to construct the "Chomi" 115kV substation, with Zhihe responsible for manufacturing the transformer sheet metal components. Building on the experience from the previous project, the design and equipment selection were further optimized. We adopted a more compact layout and increased the utilization of domestically produced equipment, while ensuring performance and saving costs for the client.

During project execution, Zhihe strictly adhered to the project schedule and quality management system in manufacturing the sheet metal components, assisting the Group in delivering the project to a high standard within the contract period. The completion of this substation forms a looped power supply network with the existing grid, significantly enhancing the strength and resilience of the grid structure in Tajikistan's capital and surrounding areas.

After the hurricane, Puerto Rico's power grid was severely damaged, urgently requiring reconstruction and enhanced disaster resilience. Our client undertook a 115kV substation project, which demanded higher wind resistance ratings for steel structures as well as improved corrosion protection and sealing performance for the equipment. Working within the shortest possible timeframe, Zhihe supplied high-quality sheet metal components(including tanks, radiators, and clamping parts),ensuring the on-time delivery of the transformers. This effort has also served as a key foundation for restoring confidence in the local community and advancing toward a sustainable energy future.

Sheet metal components for the 345KV power transformer project

The project was contracted to the Yawei Group, with Zhihe responsible for manufacturing all supporting sheet metal components. This achievement signifies that our technical capabilities in the field of UHV large-capacity transformers have reached industry-leading standards. The design, manufacturing, and testing of this 345kV/250MVA transformer were exceptionally complex. Leveraging years of accumulated process expertise and the group's technical support, Zhihe successfully produced key components such as extra-large tanks, radiators, and clamps. All stringent tests were strictly conducted prior to shipment, fully ensuring the product's overall sealing performance and corrosion resistance.

Ultimately, the equipment was safely delivered to the project site via international logistics, smoothly passed the on-site withstand voltage test, and achieved one-time grid connection and commissioning. The success of this project not only fully demonstrates our group's comprehensive capabilities-from design and manufacturing to project management-in the global high-end power transmission and transformation market, but also provided valuable experience for Zhihe in undertaking large transformer sheet metal component projects in the future.
